Polyvinyl alcohol ( CHINA PVA )

1. Polyvinyl alcohol PVA Performace

PVA is a kind of high polymer, industrial grade, Polyvinyl alcohol has excellent film forming, , and properties. It is also resistant to oil, grease and . It is odorless and nontoxic. It has high tensile strength and flexibility, as well as high oxygen and aroma barrier properties. However these properties are dependent on , in other words, with higher humidity more water is absorbed. The water, which acts as a plasticiser, will then reduce its tensile strength, but increase its elongation and tear strength. PVA is fully degradable and is a quick dissolver. PVA has a melting point of 230C and 180190C for the fully hydrolysed and partially hydrolysed grades. It decomposes rapidly above 200C as it can undergo at high temperatures.

2.Polyvinyl alcohol features

PVA aqueous solution is very adhesive, especially for porous materials such as fiber, wood, paper and so on. Fully alcoholysis pva aqueous solution is easy to get at low temperature

PVA has the bio-degradation property

The degradation rate of pva with about 1700 polymerization degree is the highest.

3.Polyvinyl alcohol main use:

After PVA being treated by washing, wet-spinning, heating treatment, water-colling, oiling, it can obtain the fiber with good mechanical property.

PVA can be widely used for warp sizing and finishing .

Featured as anti-corrosion and anti-deterioration, stable quality etc, PVA aqueous solution has very strong adhesion force to cellulose (paper, cloth, wood).

PVA is widely used as architectural coating, such as for internal walls and floor.

Acetate, polyvinyl butyral and so on can be made by PVA reaction with formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, butyraldehyde.

PVA is also widely used for biodegradable film, protective colloid and soil amendments, seed and pharmaceutical coating agent, inorganic and electronic product adhesives, water-soluble film, cosmetic additive, temporary protective film and so on.

Safety tips: PVA has no significant toxicity or special hazard, but the operator should avoid inhaling a large number of its dust, and contact with the skin or the eye directly as the the chemical may irritate, or cause you unwell such as difficult breathing and so on.

Do not discard anywhere, otherwise the dust will fly about and cause air pollution

Keep off fire, or it will burn.

Storage: PVA products can be packed with filmed plastic woven bag, composite paper-plastic bag or paper bag. The net weight of flocculent PVA is 25kg or 20kg per bag, and 25kg or 20kg for flake and powder products. The manufacturing date and batch NO. Are marked on the pack.
